Kabogo: Government Should Provide Money to the Poor

Hon. William Kabogo Gitau asks the government to provide money to poor Kenyans to buy food and basic necessities during this pandemic and lockdown.

While countries are passing stimulus packages to help businesses and also send paychecks to its citizens, this government has not only failed to provide leadership during this pandemic, but also offer financial help and reassurance to its citizens.

How do you self quarantine the majority who live hand to mouth?

The “Stay at home” policy or order will only work for middle income or salaried people, however, they are the minority.

The majority, who are poor, and live hand-to-mouth’ will continue coming out to make ends meet. Jua kali is not staying at home.
